Bangladesh have been forced to make two changes to their Test squad ahead of the Sri Lanka series due to both Naeem Islam and Enamul Haque junior succumbing to injuries.
Enamul has torn his left hamstring and Naeem has a tear in his right thigh and have been replaced by Elias Sunny and Marshall Ayub respectively.
Ayub was initially considered for the squad after an injury to Shakib Al Hasan while Enamul misses out having been drafted in following Shakib's withdrawal.
Mosharraf Hossain and Saqlain Sajib had been in contention along with Enamul but the more experienced Sunny has got the nod instead.
"Enamul (Haque) complained today morning of left hamstring pain," team physio Vibhav Singh said.
"After assessment it was found he has a grade 1+ hamstring tear. This will see him receiving physiotherapy and rehabilitation for about seven to 10 days.
"Naeem has a grade 2 quadriceps tear of the right leg. He has pain and weakness on testing. He will need to have physiotherapy and rehabilitation for at least two to three weeks."
The first Test begins in Galle on 8th March before the two sides move to Colombo, where the second Test gets underway on 16th March.
Bangladesh Test squad: Mushfiqur Rahim (captain, wicket-keeper), Mahmudullah (vice-captain), Tamim Iqbal, Shahriar Nafees, Anamul Haque, Jahurul Islam, Marshall Ayub, Nasir Hossain, Sohag Gazi, Abul Hasan, Rubel Hossain, Shafiul Islam, Shahadat Hossain, Elias Sunny, Muminol Hoque
