Scorecard

Netherlands had their lower-order batsmen to thank after they recovered from 123 for six to beat Kenya by two wickets in a rain-affected first One-Day International in Voorburg.

Chasing a revised target of 198 after Kenya had posted 208 for eight from 50 overs, Peter Borren hit 40 and Mudassar Bukhari 37 not out to steer the Dutch home in 42 overs.

Tom Gruijters (32) and Mitchell Swart (30) had earlier made useful contributions before three wickets apiece for Lameck Onyango and Lucas Oluoch appeared to have swung the game in favour.

That was before Borren and Bukhari put on 53 for the seventh wicket and despite Borren's late dismissal, the Netherlands got home, Bukhari hitting three fours and two sixes in 29 balls.

Earlier, Seren Waters had made 71 at the top of the order for Kenya who then faded as three wickets from Pieter Seelaar and M Jamil saw the Netherlands get back into the contest.

Bukhari also struck to remove Irfan Karim, who made 32 on debut as he underpinned a victory with a fine all-round performance.
