Yorkshire and England batsman Gary Ballance has become the latest elite athlete to join New Balance, the global athletic footwear and apparel brand.
Ballance joins Jonathan Trott, Dale Steyn, Patrick Cummins and Ben Stokes as New Balance continues to establish its global brand position in cricket.
"We are delighted to have signed Gary Ballance, one of England’s newest and brightest young cricketers," Alan Hed, New Balance’s Executive Vice President for International, said.
"This will enable the brand to continue developing its global reputation for high performance products with the New Balance range now incorporating both cricket footwear and cricket equipment."
Ballance added: "I am very excited about coming on board with New Balance and I am really looking forward to being part of their global cricket stable.
"New Balance provides the highest quality cricket kit and performance footwear which I am really looking forward to using in matches and in training.
"The kit is top notch and the footwear not only looks great but is extremely durable and comfortable which is essential."
Part of Ballance's role will be to help New Balance develop their range of footwear and clothing.
"I am very pleased to be able to help on the future development of the New Balance cricket range and ply my trade at the elite level of the game as a member of the New Balance team.
Ballance, who will be joining New Balance on a three year contract, made his Test debut in the Sydney Ashes Test in January 2014.
He has been in excellent early-season form for Yorkshire and it will be a surprise if he does not feature prominently for England this summer.
