As the new Under 11s Mid Kent Youth League Cricket team champions, Town Malling Under 11A team - with other junior players from the club - will form the Guard of Honour for a Kent CCC game against Holland, which will be played on Sunday 14th August at the Kent County Cricket Club, St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury.

The junior teams at Town Malling Cricket Club are all sponsored by award winning south east chartered surveyors Caxtons,.

The juniors' coach at Town Malling CC, Martyn Senior, said: "Everybody at the club is delighted that the Under 11s have done so well.  Town Malling Cricket Club will be taking a coach load of 54 children and adults to the match on 14th August at the St Lawrence cricket ground and I know that many club members and parents will be glowing with pride as the youngsters line up for the Guard of Honour.  Our sponsors, Caxtons, will also be pretty pleased we’re sure – they agree that the juniors have excelled themselves."

Caxtons’ director David Gurton (a club member of Town Malling CC) said everyone involved with the juniors at Malling Town deserved praise. “I’m delighted they are going to form the guard of honour at Canterbury on the 14th. It’s a great tribute to the effort they have put in to their game this season and they richly deserve the recognition.  To deserve this accolade and win the league championship only three years after being formed is truly remarkable. The future looks very bright indeed.”

Caxtons will be supporting the teams for the next three years, which means some 80 to a 100 youngsters will benefit each year.
