All-rounder Gareth Andrew and bowler Chris Russell have signed new contracts with Worcestershire that will keep them at the club until the end of the 2011 and 2012 seasons respectively.
"Gareth showed what he can achieve with his excellent 60 ball 100 against Surrey in the Clydesdale Bank 40 League and with some further progression with the ball has the potential to be a quality all-rounder," Director of cricket Steve Rhodes said.
"Chris has worked really hard this summer and in taking 46 2nd XI championship wickets, as well as making his 1st XI debut against Pakistan, has done everything we have asked him to do. We are developing a young squad and feel Chris has a bright future as part of this process," he added.
Russell, 21, said: "I have really enjoyed my first full season with the Club and feel I have developed well over the summer. I look forward to working hard this winter with the rest of our young squad and fighting for a regular first team place."
