New Junior Bears Package Announced

The bigger and better Junior Bear package for 2007 includes exciting new benefits for all young cricket fans. Warwickshire CCC is the first ever Club to offer a free replica shirt as part of their membership allowing all those mini bears to emulate their heroes during their time at the ground. They will have free access to all Warwickshire matches, including the thrilling Twenty20 Cup and a free ticket for to treat their Dads on Fathers’ Day on 17th June.

The new package, priced at just £45 for the year, includes a raft of vouchers from local attractions displayed on an exclusive wallchart, which will be sent out as part of the membership pack. There will be 7 coaching sessions held before various days play at Edgbaston and these are open to kids of all abilities. The safe Edgbaston environment means that children can learn skills of the game with guaranteed access to the Bears’ top players through the summer. Parents can be assured that during that hour and a half their kids will be in the hands of professional coaches in a family friendly atmosphere.

Last year, the Junior Bears enjoyed exclusive access to the outfield during the intervals on the Sunday matches. This year will be no different with the Junior Bears the only people granted this special privilege of spending 20 minutes on the outfield playing kwik-cricket under the guidance of the WCB coaching staff.

The package is great value for money and a must for all kids wanting to see as much cricket as possible. The interactive nature of the membership guarantees that not only can they witness exciting cricket but become part of the Club’s passionate and devoted fans from an early age. The Junior Bears membership doubled last year and it is hoped that the new package will encourage more new members to cheer on the Bears next season.

Junior Bears Skipper, Neil Carter, will be on hand throughout the summer to give his protégés all the tips and advice they need to go far in the game. “It was great to see so many new recruits last year. I will be writing a column in the exclusive Junior Bears newsletter giving all the news about the Junior Bears events and keeping everyone up to date with news from the dressing room,” he enthused.
