New Milford CC Aligns With USYCA

USYCA is pleased to welcome the New Milford Cricket Club to its ranks. NMCC was formed in 2005 after New Milford City provided a field on which to play cricket.

NMCC qualified for the SCtCA playoffs in each of the last seven years, taking home two championship and two second-place finishes.

In 2012, NMCC will have two teams participating in SCtCA, so as to get their young players more experience playing competitive cricket. Currently, NMCC has nearly 50 members, along with twelve U15 players and three U12s.

"New Milford Cricket Club believes that in order to promote cricket in the USA we must support our youth," said captain Jay Singh.

"USYCA is doing an excellent job in promoting cricket among youth in the USA. Youth is the future of cricket in the USA; without involving youth, cricket will not go anywhere and we really appreciate the wonderful work USYCA is doing to promote USA cricket."

"It's really exciting to have dynamic young cricket clubs like New Milford join USYCA," said President Jamie Harrison. "NMCC's committment to youth, as evidenced by their creation of a second team and their desire to support the USYCA mission, is evidence of a great dedication to the future of cricket in America."
