Rob White and Stephen Peters have both signed new contracts for Northants keeping them at the club until the end of 2010. Both White and Peters have enjoyed successful starts to the 2008 season for Northants and in signing their contracts have shown commitment to building a successful future for the club.

Chief Executive, Mark Tagg said: “Stephen and Rob have had an excellent run of form in both one day and four day cricket and I am delighted they have made the commitment to stay at Northants for the next two seasons. The news gives the side stability in the batting department for the foreseeable future.”

Rob White said: “I am pleased to have extended my career at Northants. Signing the contract in addition to recently being capped has topped off what has been a good start to the season for me personally.”

Stephen Peters added: “I am really happy to have extended my contract for 2009 and 2010. I am enjoying my cricket here and I see a bright future for the club. With both Rob and David Sales also signing new contracts, it shows Northants Cricket are committed to building the side for future successes.”
