New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has named a 14-member squad to play in the Rose Bowl ODI series against Australia and the Women's World Cup in March.

Abby Burrows is the only new cap while Kate Pulford has earned a recall to the squad, which is among the favourites to win the World Cup in Sydney along with Australia and England.

“This is a great team to be taking into a challenging season of international cricket,” Gary Stead said.

“We’re really looking forward to the prospect of taking on Australia on our home territory again,” he added. “Our last Rose Bowl series was very closely fought – we’re positive we’ll compete strongly this time around and this will be a good indication of where we are at just a month out from the World Cup."

New Zealand have not won a Rose Bowl series since 1999 but ran Australia close last year, going down 3-2.

New Zealand Women: Haidee Tiffen (captain), Aimee Mason (vice-captain), Suzie Bates, Nic Browne, Abby Burrows, Sophie Devine, Lucy Doolan, Sara McGlashan, Beth McNeill, Katey Martin, Rachel Priest, Kate Pulford, Amy Satterthwaite, Sarah Tsukigawa
