New Zealand have named an unchanged squad ahead of the second Test against England, which gets underway in Wellington on Thursday (14th March).

Fast bowler Doug Bracewell has not recovered from the foot injury that ruled him out of the opening game, which ended in a draw in Dunedin.

Ian Butler retains his place in the squad after he was brought in as cover for Bracewell, who cut his foot while clearing up after a house party days before the opening game.

Head coach Mike Hesson said: "I was very pleased with both the bowling and batting efforts in Dunedin and we plan to build on that in Wellington."

Peter Fulton scored his second century of the match, making 110, as New Zealand declared their second innings on 241 for six before their bowlers set about their task.

Boult Bowls England Out, New Zealand Claim Big Lead

New Zealand closed day three of the third and final Test against England leading by 274 runs after Trent Boult's six wickets helped dismiss the tourists for 204. New Zealand had scored 443 in their first innings over the first two days but opted against enforcing the follow-on, closing on 35 for three in their second innings.

Wickets Fall On Day Two But New Zealand On Top

11 wickets fell on day two of the third and final Test between England and New Zealand in Auckland , as after an opening day dominated by the batsmen, the bowlers had their turn to shine. Steven Finn took five of them as New Zealand were bowled out for 443 but England closed on 50 for two in reply as the home side ended the day strongly.

Maiden Ton For Fulton As New Zealand Dominate Day One

Peter Fulton became the third batsman in the series to score their maiden Test century as New Zealand dominated the opening day of the third and final game against England in Auckland. Fulton was unbeaten on 124 as the home side piled up 250 for one having been asked to bat first by England captain Alastair Cook.

Bairstow To Replace Pietersen In Decisive Auckland Test

Yorkshire batsman Jonathan Bairstow will make his sixth Test appearance on Friday after England captain Alastair Cook confirmed he would play in place of the injured Kevin Pietersen. Pietersen has been ruled out due to the nagging knee injury that has been hampering him all tour and England have opted to play Bairstow, a specialist batsman instead of being tempted to play an extra bowler in Chris Woakes, Graham Onions or James Tredwell.
