Sri Lanka have named a 16-man squad for their One-Day International tri-series matches against India and New Zealand, with Muttiah Muralitharan set for a return to action.

Vice-captain Muralitharan missed the two Twenty20 Internationals against New Zealand although the selectors have named leg-spinner Malinga Bandara as cover for both Muralitharan and Ajantha Mendis.

Sri Lanka will be looking to use the tri-series as preparation for the Champions Trophy which begins on 22nd September and are hoping to bounce back from a 2-0 series loss in the T20 Internationals to New Zealand.

Sri Lanka: Kumar Sangakkara (captain), Muttiah Muralitharan, Sanath Jayasuriya, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Upul Tharanga, Mahela Jayawardene, Thilan Samaaraweera, Thilina Kandamby, Chamara Kapugedera, Angelo Mathews, Malinga Bandara, Nuwan Kulasekara, Lasith Malinga, Ajantha Mendis, Dammika Prasad
