The final round of matches in the North Lancashire and Cumbria League saw the top two sides in the Premier Division, Furness and Penrith, unable to play due to rain.

Furness ended the season as champions while in Division One, Duddon SC won the title with a four-wicket win over Ulverston while Wigton will play next season in the Premier League after earning promotion, despite not playing their final game due to rain.

York Win Sixth Premier League Title In A Row

York have won the Yorkshire ECB League championship for the sixth year in a row, pipping Harrogate for the title after Harrogate had led the table for most of the season. They made sure of the title by beating their rivals by 140 runs at Clifton Park after making a formidable 289-5. Ryan McKendry scored an outstanding 140 and shared a fifth wicket partnership with Nick Kay, who who was undefeated on 57.

Pudsey Congs Beat Woodlands By One Wicket

Pudsey Congs won at leaders Woodlands by one wicket after a dramatic last over on a day of exciting finishes in the JCT 600 Bradford League First Division. It was only Woodlands second defeat of the season. The defending champions posted 201-8 with Simon Mason (44) and Chris Brice putting on 65 for the third wicket and, when Mason was out, Brice continued to hold the innings together finishing on 73 not out.

Woodlands Claim Dramatic Four-Run Win At Home

Woodlands showed the resilience worthy of championship favourites to gain a dramatic four-run win at home to relegation threatened Farsley in the JCT 600 Bradford League First Division. The leaders were in grave danger of losing their first match of the season after the visitors bowled them out for a mere 111 with off spinner Mark Harrison taking 4-10 and paceman Chris Henry 3-43 with only opener Sam Frankland (34) being able to cope with the Farsley attack.
