LV= County Championship Division One leaders Nottinghamshire will be lookin for a replacement overseas player for the final weeks of the season to replace Australian David Hussey.

Hussey will be captaining Victoria in the Champions League Twenty20 in South Africa after regular captain Cameron White was picked to play for the Royal Challengers Bangalore but Nottinghamshire are keen to recruit to maintain their Championship challenge.

“I’ve had a great time here and I’ll definitely be back at some point in the future,” Hussey said. “It’s a great dressing room to be part of and that’s been helped by the fact that we’ve pushed so hard in all three competitions.”

As well as standing 24 points clear in the Championship, they reached the semi-finals of the Friends Provident t20 competition and currently sit in second place in their group in the Clydesdale Bank 40.

Hussey has scored 399 Championship runs while he scored 524 runs before Nottinghamshire's T20 run was ended by Somerset at The Rose Bowl.

Steven Mullaney is expected to deputise for Hussey in the next Championship match against Lancashire although Nottinghamshire hope to have a replacement player signed in time for the CB40 clash with Leicestershire later this month.
