Nottinghamshire Sign Hogg On Loan

Nottinghamshire have signed Lancashire fast bowler Kyle Hogg on a short-term loan deal after a number of injuries hit their squad.

Charlie Shreck, AJ Harris, Paul Franks and Mark Footitt are all currently injured and Ryan Sidebottom is on England duty, meaning Hogg will go straight into the side to face Gloucestershire in Nottinghamshire's next County Championship fixture at Trent Bridge.

Mick Newell, Director of Cricket said:

"I’m delighted to have Kyle on board and it’s a great opportunity for him to play some first-class cricket and prove a point.

“He’s a talented young seamer who has been struggling to claim a regular place in a strong Lancashire team.

“We have been keeping an eye on him for some time and although he will only be with us for a month initially, who knows where it might lead.”

Hogg made his Lancashire debut in 2001 but injuries and illness have denied him a regular place in Lancashire's line-up.
