Notts Bowled Over By Helly Hansen

19 October 2006
Nottinghamshire players Chris Read (wicketkeeper and England international), Paul Franks (all rounder) and Jason Gallian (opening batsman) have teamed up with multi-sports performance clothing brand Helly Hansen, and will be wearing its base layers this season.

The players will be sporting the classic long sleeve Helly Hansen Stripe Crew (launched in 1974 as the first performance base layer), the short sleeve Stripe T (for warmer days) and the sleeveless Stripe Tank (for lighter weight and more mobility) in white. All from the Helly Hansen Dry collection, a versatile base layer with exceptional moisture control that provides lightweight comfort.

They are designed to be worn next to the skin, for maximum movement of moisture away from the skin. Intended for year round usage, they can be worn as a single layer or under your cricket shirt. Perfect for both training and match days.

Helly Hansen Dry is 100% Lifa, Helly Hansen’s stay dry technology. Lifa hates water, it doesn’t absorb moisture it moves it (away from the skin) – it retains less moisture than any other fabric and 40 times less moisture than polyester (the fibre used in most base layers). So the Helly Hansen base layer stays drier and so does the cricket player - a key benefit for Chris Read, recently called back up to the England squad and heading out to Australia for the Ashes.
