Old Speckled Hen, Britain’s best loved premium ale, has extended its relationship with Northants Cricket by becoming their new shirt sponsor for the Clydesdale Bank 40 over competition.

The deal, which commences at the start of the coming 2010 season, signals the commitment of Old Speckled Hen to invest in local communities and partner with organisations that have a national reach and a local heart.

Old Speckled Hen’s association with the club started this season and has a three year deal.  It will also remain as primary shirt sponsor for the Twenty20 team.

As part of the deal, Old Speckled Hen will continue to receive significant branding around the County Ground and will also take an active role on FPt20 match days by running a “Catch a Six” competition – giving supporters the chance to win a case of Old Speckled Hen if they can hold on to one of the many big hits sure to be on show this summer.

All eyes will be on the County Ground come 3 July when the Steelbacks play host to current T20 World Champions, Pakistan, as they warm up for their test series with Australia. The game is likely to involve some of the world’s best cricketers and will give Northants supporters the chance to see how their heroes face-up.
