Sunrisers Hyderabad 161-3 (Warner 59) beat
Royal Challengers Bangalore 160-6 by 7 wickets
Indian Premier League 2014, Hyderabad
Sunrisers Hyderabad openers Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner put on a century partnership as they beat the Royal Challengers Bangalore by seven wickets to stay in the Indian Premier League 2014 play-off hunt.
They may still need other results to go their way, but they did what they needed to do by overcoming a target of 161 with two balls to spare.
Warner made 59 in 46 balls and Dhawan 50 in 39 before Naman Ojha (24), Aaron Finch (11 not out) and Darren Sammy (10 not out) finished things off.
Bangalore had earlier posted 160 for six thanks largely to the efforts of Virat Kohli, who made 67 in 41 balls.
While this win does not rule Bangalore out of the play-offs, it places them in a precarious position and like Hyderabad, they need other results to go in their favour if they are to make it.
