India v Australia - match abandoned
First One-Day International, Kochi

The first One-Day International between India and Australia in Kochi was abandoned due to rain, and the two sides will attempt to get the three-match series underway in Visakhapatnam on 20th October.

The match was always in doubt following persistent rain over the last week and the forecast was unpromising. The game was eventually called off around two hours after the scheduled start time following a number of inspections by the match officials.

The third and final game is scheduled for Margao on 24th October.
