Operatic Star Set To Bowl Over England With Jerusalem

The England side will walk onto the field to Jerusalem on day one of England’s npower Test Match against the West Indies on Friday (15 June).

Operatic star Jon Christos, who will also perform at this year’s Northern Proms, will lead the crowd in a rousing rendition of Jerusalem before the start of play.

Durham County Cricket Club Chief Executive David Harker said, “Jon was the first operatic star to sing the national anthem at the new Wembley Stadium and it is a great honour for us to have him perform at the Riverside at the npower Test Match. We hope that the North East crowd will really get behind the team so they can finish the series in style.”

Tickets for Friday 15 , Sunday 17, Monday 18 and Tuesday 19 June (days 1, 3, 4 and 5) are still available to purchase. Tickets for day 1 and 3 are priced from £30 for adults and £10 for juniors.
