Ormond Extends Surrey Contract

Former England seamer James Ormond has signed for Surrey for a further year.

The 29-year-old, who played two Test matches for England in 2001, has been with the county since 2002 but endured an injury-ravaged summer this year in which he was limited to just three County Championship matches as Surrey were promoted from Division Two.

Surrey cricket manager Alan Butcher said: "I am pleased to have secured Jimmy's services for a further season with the club as his ability with the ball is unquestioned.''
