Oval Insurance emerged as the victors of the inaugural Cricket World Spirit Of Commerce 20/20 competition after wet weather forced the finals day to be played indoors at the ECB Academy in Loughborough, and the matches were reduced to twelve overs per side.
Oval's path to the final, which started back in June when they defeated Cricket World at Wartnaby, was complete when they beat Honda in their semi-final.
Their score of 106 for 7 was enough for victory as Honda could only manage 98 for 3 in reply.
The other semi-final saw Npower bowl Southern Electric out for 97 after having made 149 for 5 themselves.
In the final, batting first, Npower again made a good score, 134 for 4 this time but Oval were not to be stopped, chasing down the target for a four wicket victory with two balls to spare.
