Pakistan have called up uncapped batsman Sharjeel Khan for the three Twenty20 Internationals against Afghanistan and Sri Lanka in Sharjah and Dubai.
Saeed Ajmal will miss the match against Afghanistan on 8th December due to family reasons but will join up with the squad in time for the Sri Lanka matches on 11th and 13th December.
The squad shows a number of changes from the one that travelled to South Africa and drew a two-match series 1-1.
Shoiab Malik and Abdul Razzaq remain out of contention due to injury and as the squad picked for the South Africa tour was one to cover both Twenty20 and One-Day Internationals, Misbah-ul-Haq, Abdur Rehman, Asad Shafiq and Nasir Jamshed have been left out.
23-year-old Sharjeel has scored 688 runs in 25 Twenty20 matches including an unbeaten century and four half-centuries playing for Hyderabad Hawks and Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited.
The former Under-19 international has hit 120 runs with a highest score of 72 in four Twenty20 games this season. In 2011, he was part of Pakistan's squad which competed at the Hong Kong Sixes.
Haris Sohail, who last played a Twenty20 International against the West Indies July, is also included in the squad.
After impressing during the recent matches against South Africa, both home and away, batsman Sohaib Maqsood and bowlers Bilawal Bhatti and Anwar Ali, retain their places in the squad, which will be led by Mohammad Hafeez.
