Pakistan have named a 30-man provisional squad for the 2012 ICC World Twenty20, leaving out current Test and One-Day International captain Misbah-ul-Haq.
Misbah played a key role during Pakistan's run to the final in 2007 but no longer features for the Twenty20 side, Mohammad Hafeez being named as captain earlier this year.
Wicket-keeper Kamran Akmal is also included despite not having played for his country since the 2011 World Cup. He appeared before a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Integrity Committee earlier this month.
Pakistan followed up their 2007 runners-up performance by winning the tournament in 2009 although they fell at the semi-final stage in 2010.
