Pakistan Name More New Faces For Fourth ODI

Pakistan are set to continue with a policy of giving new players a chance to impress in their one-day side as they prepare for the fourth one-day international against Zimbabwe in Faisalabad.

The 14-man squad for the match includes Sarfraz Ahmed as wicket-keeper, and uncapped players Khalid Latif, Khurram Manzoor, and Wahab Riaz, while Sohail Khan, Nasir Jamshed and Kamran Hussain, who made the debuts during the series, are retained.

Pakistan lead the five-match series 3-0 after comprehensive wins in Karachi, Hyderabad, and Multan.

Pay Rise For Contracted Pakistan Cricketers

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has awarded 30 players central contracts and given its contracated players a pay rise of 15% with match fees also increased. Butt was banned along with team-mates Mohammad Amir and Asif after they were found guilty of breaches of the ICC anti-corruption code, conspiring to bowl no balls at specific times during the Test series against England in August 2010.

Pakistani umpires Nadeem Ghauri and Anis Siddiqui have been suspended by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for four and three years respectively for corruption. The pair fell victim to a TV sting operation purporting to offer financial rewards in exchange for the umpires giving favourable or dubious decisions.

Pakistan Leave Younus Out Of Champions Trophy Probables

Pakistan have left former captain and vastly experienced batsman Younus Khan out of their 30-man list of probables for the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. Younus has played 253 One-Day Internationals, but managed just 116 runs in five matches during the recent series in South Africa.

The Pakistan All Star XI handed an International XI a second defeat in as many days to seal a 2-0 Twenty20 series win in the World XI AO Trophy in Karachi. The series saw the return of international cricketers to Pakistan for the first time since 2009 although the home team proved to be too strong for the challengers.

International cricketers returned to Pakistan and were soundly beaten by the hosts at Karachi's National Stadium. Umar Akmal and Shahzaib Hasan each hit blistering half-centuries to help Pakistan XI to 222 for seven from their 20 overs, while Karachi-born fast-bowler Tabish Khan took a hat-trick in the International XI run chase.
