All-rounder Shahid Afridi is poised to make another international comeback after he was named in Pakistan's 16-man One-Day International squad to play South Africa.

Afridi played for Pakistan against Australia in September before being left out of the One-Day International series in India, although he and Shoaib Malik, who has also been recalled, did feature in the Twenty20 matches.

The squad shows few changes from the group of players currently engaged in the Test series with Kamran and Umar Akmal also joining up with the squad.

Both Akmal brothers featured in the 2-1 ODI series in India, and are also included in the Twenty20 squad, captained by Mohammad Hafeez.

Ahmed Shehzad, Umar Amin, Zulfiqur Babar and Asad Ali are added to the squad for the two Twenty20 matches on 1st and 3rd March in Durban and East London.

The five-match ODI series runs from 10th to 24th March with matches in Bloemfontein, Centurion, Johannesburg and Benoni.
