Paranavitana Strokes Century In Warm-Up Game

The touring Sri Lankans lost one day of their tour game against a South African Invitational XI before Dilhara Fernando took four wickets and Tharanga Paranavitana scored a century as the match was drawn.
After no play was possible on the opening day, the South Africans were bowled out for 357 and Sri Lanka closed on 207 for three in reply.
The home side's top five batsmen - Reeza Hendricks (66), captain Dean Elgar (78), Stiaan van Zyl (53), Rilee Rossouw (52) and Farhaan Behardien (52) - all scored half-centuries before Fernando returned four for 76.
Rangana Herath finished with figures of three for 58, Ajantha Mendis two for 158 and Thilan Samaraweera one for 33 as Nuwan Pradeep, Angelo Mathews and Tillakaratne Dilshan also bowled without taking a wicket.
Dilshan then made 74 in 76 balls, hitting eight fours and two sixes as he and Paranavitana put on 126 for the first wicket. After making 100 in 161 balls with 12 fours, Paranavitana retired although less than three overs more play were possible.
Mahela Jaywardene was dismissed for 26 while Samaraweera was unbeaten on four and Mathews had made one when the game ended.
Sri Lanka take on South Africa in the first of three Tests from 15th December at Centurion Park.
