Pay Rise For Contracted Pakistan Cricketers
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has awarded 30 players central contracts and given its contracated players a pay rise of 15% with match fees also increased.
Misbah-ul-Haq, Mohammad Hafeez, Saeed Ajmal, Younus Khan and Shahid Afridi are the five players awarded Grade A contracts with eight players given Grade B contracts, eight more Grade C and the remaining nine stipend contracts.
"Pakistan Cricket Board announces the award of its Players Central Contracts for the 2013 Calendar year. For the second consecutive year the Players Retainership fee has been increased," a statement on its website read.
"The 2013 Central Contracts have raised the Retainership fee by 15 %. In the 2012 Central Contractthe same had been increased by 25%.
"It may be noted that the increases in player fees in 2012 was made after 3 years as the last increases were made in 2009 thus in the last two years a total increase of more than 40 % has been made. The Test Match fee for all categories has also been increased. PCB had also raised the players match fee for all formats by 10% in the 2012 Central Contract."
Pakistan are are next in action when they prepare for the Champions Trophy 2013 with a series of One-Day International matches against Scotland and Ireland.

Grade B contracts: Umar Gul, Umar Akmal, Azhar Ali, Asad Shafiq, Junaid Khan, Abdur Rehman, Shoiab Malik, Nasir Jamshed
Grade C contracts: Kamran Akmal, Mohammad Irfan, Imran Farhat, Taufeeq Umar, Aizaz Cheema, Adnan Akmal, Faisal Iqbal, Ahmed Shehzad
Stipend contracts: Sarfraz Ahmed, Wahab Riaz, Rahat Ali, Ehsan Adil, Umar Amin, Zulfiqur Babar, Asad Ali, Haris Sohail, Anwar Ali
