The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has fined five players for playing in a 'disapproved' cricket tournament in the United States of America.

Wahab Riaz, Fawad Alam, Nasir Jamshed, Abdul Razzaq and Shahzaib Hasan all took part in the Friendship T20 Cup in Houston last month which is classed by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as disapproved cricket.

The five cricketers have been fined 500,000 rupees (just over $US 5,000 and a little more than £3,000) after admitting they were not aware that a No Objection Certificate (NOC) was required in order for them to participate.

Also playing at the tournament was Danish Kaneria, who is serving a life ban handed to him by the PCB. He has been referred to the PCB Integrity Committee.
