Angelo Mathews has become the fifth Sri Lankan player to be ruled out of the rest of the India tour and he is to be replaced by aggressive Wayamba all-rounder Thissara Perera.

Mathews injured his right thigh during the second ODI, although he was still able to bat Sri Lanka to victory but he has been ruled out for around four weeks.

20-year-old Tissera is a fast bowler who has a first-class batting strike-rate of 91 percent and Mathews is the latest man to return home with an injury after Thilan Thushara, Dammika Prasad, Dilhara Fernando and Muttiah Muralitharan.

The third ODI is on 21st December in Cuttack and the five-match series is level at 1-1.
