Left-arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul is the only new face in West Indies’ 15-man Test squad for their forthcoming tour of Bangladesh.

The 23 year-old from Guyana has an excellent first-class bowling average of 24.59 and has just returned from a successful tour of Bangladesh with the Sagicor High Performance Centre, where he collected 21 wickets in all matches.

The other notable inclusion is that of Kirk Edwards who was recalled to the squad after being axed during the tour of England earlier this year. Dwayne Bravo continues to miss out on selection for the Test side.

West Indies will play two Test matches in Bangladesh next month.

West Indies squad: Darren Sammy (captain), Denesh Ramdin (vice-captain, wicket-keeper), Tino Best, Darren Bravo, Shiv Chanderpaul, Narsingh Deonarine, Kirk Edwards, Assad Fudadin, Chris Gayle, Sunil Narine, Veerasammy Permaul, Kieran Powell, Ravi Rampaul, Kemar Roach, Marlon Samuels.
