Pick Of The Day - Richie Richardson Dazzles For Swansea

Thank you to John Davies, scorer, secretary and treasurer of Felinfoel Cricket Club, for sending us this little trip down memory lane.

Back on 25th May 1987, a certain West Indian batting supremo named Richie Richardson was playing for Swansea against Dafen Welfare.

Swansea needed eight to win and with Richardson unbeaten on 88, he proceeded to both win the match and clinch a century by hitting the next two deliveries over the roof of the club and into the football field behind.

You can see the scorecard below with the details of Richardson's powerful late assault marked in black.

That is how to finish an innings in style.
