England batsman Kevin Pietersen has suffered a fractured thumb and misses the fifth and final One-Day International in Kolkata.
He picked up the injury when he was hit while fielding in the fourth game in Mumbai but he will remain with the squad ahead of the Twenty20 International on 29th October.
Scans revealed the fracture on his left thumb but he will undergo assessment and treatment prior to the Twenty20 game, which also takes place at Kolkata's Eden Gardens.
Pietersen had enjoyed a reasonable series with the bat, scoring 170 runs in the series, which England trail 4-0.
