Pink Named New ICC Europe Regional Development Manager

The ICC Europe office has announced that Nick Pink had been appointed the new ICC Europe Regional Development Manager.

Pink, who will move from his current role as UK Sport’s International Development Adviser, will join the Europe team on December 20.

“Following an extensive international search that attracted an impressive list of potential candidates, I’m delighted Nick will be joining ICC as Regional Development Manager for the Europe Region,” said ICC Global Development Manager Tim Anderson.

In his role with UK Sport Pink was responsible for a diverse portfolio of sustainable sport development initiatives throughout Africa, the Caribbean and Oceania.  He has strong experience in engaging with international sporting federations, government agencies and sports charities, while he has also acted as secretariat to the Commonwealth Advisory Body on Sport (CABOS).

“As we begin to implement ICC’s new Strategic Plan that has a strong focus on growing participation and improving performance, we are confident Nick’s wide ranging skills and experiences will prove an asset in continuing the rapid emergence of our Great Sport within the Region,” he said.

Pink has had a lifetime passion for cricket and he continues to play locally in his native Sussex, as well as being a UKCC Level 2 coach. 

“Cricket has always been a constant in my life, and therefore to be able to combine this with my professional experience in international sport development, in a role that aims to grow and improve the game throughout Europe, is very exciting,” Pink said. 

“I therefore look forward to taking up this challenge and working with the ICC Europe team and all the European Members to continue to take cricket forward within the Region.”

Pink is replacing Richard Holdsworth as the ICC Europe Regional Development Manager.  After eight successful years working for ICC, Holdsworth is to become Performance Director at Cricket Ireland.
