Monday evening saw Pune's cricket enthusiasts come together at the Pune Marriott Hotel and Convention Centre as they put their best foot forward and challenged the champion team of Rajasthan Royals.
 
Rahul Dravid lead his team into a one of a kind match as it dared the Pune citizens. As the setting of a stadium arena was created at the Pune Marriott Hotel and Convention Centre, the two teams matched each other’s stride. The cheers of the crowd met the enthusiasm of the unconventional pitch as Pune experienced the vibe of the cricket season in all its glory.
 
Speaking at the press meet held before the match, Mr. Rajeev Menon, Area Vice President Marriott International-India, Maldives and Australia said:

You are not in India if you do not like cricket. Thus it was but natural that Marriott India chose to partner with the Rajasthan Royals team to engage with the true blue Indian feel. Adding to the enthusiasm of the evening Mr. Jatin Khanna, newly-appointed General Manager of the Pune Marriott Hotel and Convention Centre, added:

Rahul Dravid, captain of the Rajasthan Royals team said, "Cricket to me is not just a sport but a passion that runs way too deep within me, just like any Indian. The match today gave me an opportunity to enjoy the sport in an unconventional manner."
 
The Rajasthan Royals team is housed at the Pune Marriott Hotel and Convention Centre and has been extended a royal hospitality complete with traditional welcome ceremony, sprawling rooms and delightful services.
 
The players of both the teams proceeded to a lavish spread of food and beverages hosted at the hotel post the close of the match.
