South Africa 573-4 dec (Markram 143) beat
Bangladesh 147 & 172 (Rabada 5-30) by an innings and 254 runs
Second Test, Bloemfontein, day three
Kagiso Rabada picked a 10-wicket haul as South Africa bowled out Bangladesh for 172 runs in their second innings as they completed a victory by an innings and 254 runs in the second Test in Bloemfontein to wrap up the series 2-0.
Bangladesh resumed their innings at 7 for naught on day three. Rabada (5-30) struck twice in quick succession to remove Soumya Sarkar (3) and Mominul Haque (11) as Bangladesh struggled to get going.
Mushfiqur Rahim (26) and Imrul Kayes (32) counterattacked the South African bowling with the Bangladesh captain even surviving a review from the Proteas for an LBW in the 13th over.
In the next over Rahim was struck on the helmet by Duanne Olivier (1-39) raising concerns but he continued to bat on. Kayes struck a six and a four before he edged a delivery from Olivier behind the stumps.
Rahim's troubled innings was ended in the last ball before lunch when he was trapped LBW by Wayne Parnell (1-31). Bangladesh went into lunch with a score of 92 for four.
Mahmudullah (43) and Liton Das (18) looked good for a brief period in the second session but once the partnership was broken by Andile Phehlukwayo (3-36) it was a matter of time before the Proteas cleaned up the remaining of Bangladesh batsmen with Rabada claiming his second five-fer of the game.
Rabada bagged the player of the match award while Dean Elgar was named the player of the series as South Africa completed a 2-0 whitewash.
