The spring rains in South Africa made sure that no result was possible for the third evening in a row, with Auckland Aces and Delhi Daredevils this time the unlucky sides at Kingsmead, Durban.

The two points that both teams receive does not greatly affect the Group A table, with Titans still top ahead of Delhi and Auckland in third, and Kolkata Knight Riders already eliminated.

Tomorrow sees the crucial Group B match between Yorkshire and Lions in Johannesburg - a win for the latter would see them through to the semi-finals alongside Sydney Sixers from that group. The next action in Group A is on Sunday when Perth Scorchers take on Delhi and Titans entertain Kolkata.

Highveld Lions defeated Delhi Daredevils by 22 runs in the first semi-final of the Champions League Twenty20 at a windy Kindsmead Stadium in Durban. Conditions made it hard for batting but also tricky for the bowlers and fielders and Lions' score of 139 for seven proved to be a winning one when Delhi limped to 117 for nine in reply.

A capacity crowd is expected for the final of the Champions League Twenty20 at The Wanderers Stadium at Johannesburg on Sunday, according to league organisers. There is the possibility of an all-South African final with Highveld Lions taking on Delhi Daredevils in one semi-final and Nashua Titans meeting Sydney Suxers in the other.

Washout Ends Champions League T20 Group Stages

The final group game of the Champions League Twenty20 between Nashua Titans and Delhi Daredevils was abandoned without a ball being bowled at Centurion Park. Perth Scorchers ended their Champions League Twenty20 campaign by beating Auckland Aces by 16 runs at Centurion Park, knocking New Zealand's representatives out of the competition in the process. Perth worked hard to reach 140 for seven on a slow pitch and their bowlers then produced an effective performance to hold Auckland to 124 for eight in reply.
