New Zealand Lose Both Warm-Up Games To Rain

New Zealand's preparation for their five-match One-Day International series in Bangladesh was hit when both of their scheduled warm-up matches were abandoned.

They were due to play Bangladesh Cricket Board XI sides on 1st and 3rd October in Savar but the two matches were called off following persistent rain.

The first match against Bangladesh, in Mirpur, is on 5th October.

Final Scotland-Pakistan Match Washed Out

The second and final One-Day International between Scotland and Pakistan was abandoned without a ball being bowled at a wet Raeburns Place in Edinburgh. After several inspections throughout the day, the umpires were left with no choice but to call the game off, meaning Pakistan take the series 1-0 courtesy of their 96-run in the opening game two days ago.

Misbah Leads Pakistan To Comfortable Win Over Scotland

Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq led by example, scoring an unbeaten 83 to set up a 96-run win for his side over Scotland in the first One-Day International in Edinburgh. Misbah comfortably top scored in Pakistan's 231 for seven before Junaid Khan and Saeed Ajmal took three wickets apiece to bowl Scotland out for 135.

India To Host Champions League Twenty20 2013

The Champions League Twenty20 will return to India for the 2013 edition of the high profile Twenty20 tournament in September and October of this year. India will host the tournament, won in 2012 by Sydney Sixers when it was held in South Africa, for the third time in five years, from 17th September to 6th October.

Porterfield Leads Ireland To Another Important Win

Ireland took another big step towards securing qualification for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 with a six-wicket victory over United Arab Emirates in the second and final one-day game in Sharjah. The win, which followed up a five-wicket victory in the first game, extends their lead at the top of the ICC World Cricket League Championship table to four points.

Gary Wilson Half-Century Extends Ireland's Lead

Ireland extended their lead at the top of the World Cricket League Championship by beating nearest rivals United Arab Emirates by five wickets in the first of two one-day games in Sharjah. Batting first, UAE were dismissed for 165 as Paul Stirling and Alex Cusack both took three wickets and Ireland survived a mid-innings wobble to reach their target in 42 overs.
