Australia Women 100-7 (Marsh 3-11) v
England Women 6-2 - NO RESULT
Scorecard
Fifth One-Day International, Lord's

Rain at the home of cricket denied England Women the chance to push for a 5-0 One-Day International clean sweep over their Australian counterparts.

England led the series 4-0 coming into the fifth and final match at Lord's but were left frustrated by the weather, which finally brought a prematrure close to proceedings with them precariously placed on six for two replying to Australia's 100 for seven in 31 overs.

The match had been reduced, first to 42 overs per side, and then to 31 overs per side which left England with a target of 115 after another impressive bowling performance.

Off-spinner Laura Marsh picked up three for 11, dismissing Shelley Nitschke (21), LIsa Sthalekar (0) and Lauren Ebsary (6) as Holly Colvin bowled Rachael Haynes for six to leave Australia in trouble between rain breaks.

Beth Morgan then had Jodie Fields caught by Charlotte Edwards for 13 and Marsh also picked up two run outs to put the home side on top.

However, despite Australia picking up the wickets of openers Caroline Atkins (4) and Sarah Taylor (1), the rain intervened for a final time to end the series.
