Pakistan 12-2 v Sri Lanka - no result
Third One-Day International, Colombo
Persistent rain in Colombo eventually forced the abandonment of the third One-Day International between Sri Lanka and Pakistan at the R Premadesa Stadium.
Pakistan were struggling at 12 for two after six overs when rain returned having initially delayed the game and no further cricket was possible.
The rain first interrupted proceedings after just one ball had been bowled. When the players returned, Mohammad Hafeez was caught behind without scoring and Azhar Ali was trapped in front by Nuwan Kulasekara.
Asad Shafiq was unbeaten on five in 18 balls when play was abandoned and Misbah-ul-Haq, the next man in, had not faced a ball.
Uncapped left-arm spinner Sajeewa Weerakoon had been named in Sri Lanka's team in place of the injured Rangana Herath.
The abandonment means the series is tied at 1-1 heading for the final two matches, the first of which is in Colombo on Saturday (16th June).
