Middlesex 136-6 (Scott 38no) v Sussex
South Group, Natwest T20 Blast, Hove
No result

Rain played spoilsport leading to the abandonment of the Natwest T20 Blast game between Middlesex and Sussex in Hove as the team shared points.

Middlesex won the toss and decided to bat first. Nick Gubbins (2) fell early in the chase but Brendon McCullum (26) lit the stage on fire with his 15-ball cameo.

Sussex through Jofra Chioke Archer (2-17), David Wiese (2-25) and Danny Briggs (1-20) made a brief comeback to reduce Middlesex to 81 for five but George Scott (38 not out) and Ryan Higgins (31) added 53 runs between them.

Just when the score was 136 for six in 17.4 overs, rain arrived and eventually led to abandonment of play.

Sussex now have a tied game and three with no results in the seven matches they played so far while Middlesex are placed fourth in the same group.
