Sussex 156-8 (Taylor 47no) v Gloucestershire
South Group, Natwest T20 Blast, Cheltenham

After Sussex managed to score 156 for eight in their innings, rain arrived in Cheltenham, not allowing any play possible in the Gloucestershire innings leading to the Natwest T20 Blast South Group clash to be abandoned without a result.

Earlier, Sussex won the toss and decided to bat first. Luke Wright (2) fell in the second over, but Chris Nash (33) and Ben Brown (30) tried to consolidate the innings a bit with a 34 run stand.

Ross Taylor (47 not out) was slow to get going but Brown kept the scoring rate going. The 17th over from Chris Liddle (2-39) saw three wickets including a run out that reduced Sussex to 120 for six.

Taylor stepped up in the end while Jofra Archer (20) played a 12-ball cameo as Sussex managed to reach 156 for eight in the 20 overs. David Payne (3-13) was the pick of the Gloucestershire bowlers with a three wicket haul.

The second innings was delayed by rain and eventually no play was possible as the game ended without a result.

Sussex are reeling at the bottom of the table while Gloucestershire are positioned third.
