Raina, Yuvraj dropped for West Indies T20Is

Indian selectors on Friday have announced a 14-man squad for the Twenty20 International series against West Indies to be held in Florida and have dropped Suresh Raina and Yuvraj Singh among others.

MS Dhoni will lead the side and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is the only other player in the squad who is not currently part of the Test series in West Indies.

Apart from Raina and Yuvraj, Hardik Pandya, Pawan Negi, Harbhajan Singh, Manish Pandey and Ashish Nehra have also been overlooked for the two-match series.

Pandya and Pandey are currently in the India A squad which is in Australia whereas Raina, Harbhajan and Yuvraj will be a part of the upcoming domestic zonal tournament, Duleep Trophy, which gets underway on 23rd August.

On the other hand, Murali Vijay, Shardul Thakur, Wriddhiman Saha, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ishant Sharma will return to India after the ongoing Test series.

The two T20Is between West Indies and India in Florida will be played on 27th and 28th August at Central Broward Regional Park in Lauderhill, Florida.
