Sri Lanka Cricket have confirmed that left-arm spinner Rangana Herath will miss the upcoming One-Day International series against Pakistan.
He will be replaced in the ODI squad for the five matches by Ajanth Mendis, who will remain in the United Arab Emirates following the Twenty20 International series.
Herath, who was rested for the Twenty20 series, will be available for the series of three Test matches that begins on 31st December in Dubai.
He has played 47 Tests, taking 200 wickets as well as 55 ODIs in which he has taken 54 wickets with a best of four for 20.
The ODI series begins in Sharjah on 18th December.
