Uncapped batsman Ambati Rayudu has replaced Manoj Tiwary in India's Twenty20 International squad to face England after the latter suffered a side strain.

Tiwary suffered the injury playing for Bengal in the Ranji Trophy and is expected to be sidelined for up to six weeks, ruling him out of the matches on 20th and 22nd December.

Rayudu, 27, has been included in India squads before but is yet to make his senior debut. He has represented India 'A' and been on the fringes of selection on several occasions.

He was one of a number of Indian splayers to play in the rebel Indian Cricket League, after which he was not eligible for selection until the BCCI declared an amnesty.

Rayudu had previously captained India to the Under-19 World Cup semi-finals in 2004, leading the likes of Suresh Raina, Robin Uthappa and Dinesh Karthik.
