West Indian opening batsman Travis Dowlin has paid the penalty for a string of low scores by being dropped for the third and final Test against South Africa in Barbados.
Dowlin, who has scored just 15 runs in three innings, has been replaced by Barbados opener Dale Richards ahead of the match, which begins on 26th June.
West Indies trail the series 1-0 following a 163-run defeat in Trinidad and a high-scoring draw in Saint Kitts, where Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Brendan Nash scored centuries.
Bowler Ravi Rampaul also misses out due to a side strain and he has returned to Trinidad to continue his rehabilitation, the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) confirmed.
Richards, 33, played two Tests in 2009 during the West Indian contract crisis, scoring 108 runs in four innings against Bangladesh although he fared better in the ODI series earlier in the tour against South Africa, when he scored 157 runs at an average of 39.25.
West Indies Test squad: Chris Gayle (captain), Dwayne Bravo (vice-captain), Darren Bravo, Sulieman Benn, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Narsingh Deonarine, Brendan Nash, Nelon Pascal, Denesh Ramdin, Dale Richards, Kemar Roach, Darren Sammy, Shane Shillingford
