19-year-old Rubel Hossain is the only new face in Bangladesh's One Day International squad to play Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe in a tri-series which begins on January 10th.

The Bangladesh selectors handed recalls to Mahmudullah, Nazmul Hossain and Enamul Haque junior with Naeem Islam fit again and included in the squad.

All-rounder Mahmudullah and bowlers Nazmul Hossain and Rubel Hossains have been rewarded for good form in domestic cricket with Haque junior replacing the banned Abdur Razzak.

"Rubel has performed well for the under 19, Academy and Bangladesh A side and been impressive in the domestic first class level also," Rafiqul Alam, BCB chief of selectors said. "He has extra pace and a deceptive sling-shot action. He is an attacking bowler and comes in for Sajedul Islam who was in the Test squad and is more of a longer version bowler.

"Mahmudullah has been rewarded for his batting form. Unfortunately Imrul Kayes had to give way as he has not managed to deliver despite getting opportunities. He will remain in frame though as he is someone we think will perform in the future," Alam added.

Bangladesh play Zimbabwe on January 10th in Mirpur.

Mohammad Ashraful and Mushfiqur Rahim were both fined heavily for excessive appealing during the second Test against Sri Lanka in Chittagong, where Bangladesh went down by 465 runs.
