Already without Mashrafe Mortaza and Abdur Razzak, Bangladesh have been dealt another blow with the news that Rubel Hossain will miss the rest of the Zimbabwe One-Day International series with a side strain.

Mortaza has undergone surgery on both knees in Australia following an injury picked up against the West Indies and left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak has a hamstring problem.

It is understood that Mortaza will be out of the game for a period of around six weeks while Razzak has returned to Bangladesh to recover.

Nazmul Hossain and Enamul Haque were named as their replacements while Dollar Mahmud has been called up as cover for Rubel Hossain.

Rubel had made a promising start to his international career, taking nine wickets in his first seven One-Day Internationals.

Bangladesh lead the five-match series 1-0 after an eight-wicket win in the series-opening match in Bulawayo.
