Sri Lankan Under-19 off-spinner Rushan Jaleel has been reported for a suspected illegal bowling action, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed.

Jaleel was reported during a warm-up match against Hong Kong ahead of the Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand by umpires Bruce Oxenford and Shahul Hameed.

His action will now be further scrutinised by Sri Lanka Cricket, which will then report back to the ICC within 21 days. In the meantime, Jaleel is allowed to continue bowling.

The Under-19 World Cup gets underway on Friday, 15th January and Sri Lanka open their campaign on 17th January when they play Zimbabwe.
