England fast bowler Ryan Sidebottom has been ruled out of the rest of his side's One-Day International series in Bangladesh after suffering a thigh injury.

He picked up the injury during the opening match and was replaced for game two in Mirpur by off-spinner James Tredwell and the left-armer has already been ruled out of the third and final game in Chittagong.

His fitness will be reassessed ahead of the two-Test series which begins on 12th March.

“Ryan sustained an injury to his right thigh in Sunday’s game which led him to be ruled out for the one-day series," an England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) spokesman told the ECB's website (www.ecb.co.uk).

“He will be reassessed over the coming days to determine his availability for the Test series.”

England won the opening match by six wickets.
