Glamorgan have released 26-year-old all-rounder Ryan Watkins after four years at the club. Watkins joined Glamorgan in 2005 but has now been allowed to leave.

Matthew Maynard, Director of Cricket at Glamorgan told the club's website:

“Ryan is a great character in the dressing room but unfortunately he hasn’t quite fulfilled his potential on the field. We are sad to see him go.”

Watkins himself added:

“It has been a great experience playing at Glamorgan for the past four years and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with the club. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone and wish everybody at the Club all the success for the future.”

Watkins played 33 first-class matches, 24 One-Day matches and 27 Twenty20 matches for Glamorgan and although he boasts an impressive Twenty20 bowling average of 19.45, he finds himself looking for another club.
